Project Nayon Tori
Bringing eye care facilities to the doorsteps of the underprivileged community. Noyon Tori has established to identify and treat preventable blindness among the underprivileged; to promote community awareness and education on eye health; and to increase capacity and access to eye care service.
In partnership with ManabikShahajyaShanghtha (ECP-MSS), the fully equipped ambulance made Mobile Eye Clinic named "Noyon Tori travels to remote rural locations to provide comprehensive eye care services to the underserved and identify cataract patients for surgery to restore their sight free of cost. To achieve its goals, the ECP-MSS conducts eye camps in remote rural areas to provide eye care services to the underserved population, identify and operate cataract patients to restore their sight, and conducts eye care awareness activities.
Care for your Lung Due to the Pandemic of Covid -19 taking care of our lungs has become more important than ever. To address this very crucial health issue we have introduced Care for your Lung Program which provided lung checkup facilities at Lung Screening Booth at NinaKabbo. Gradually the program will continue for all the workers in different units.
BMI and Health camp In order to take care of our own employees who spend 80% of their work time in a sedantary position, this CSR initiative focuses on Body Mass Index (BMI) Testing and a personalized diet plan to ensure a better and healthier workplace.
Employees in desk jobs spend up to 9 hours a day (approx. 1620 hours per month) in a still, sedentary position. This can eventually lead to obesity-related diseases such as cardiac, stroke or joint complications. The BMI checkup, held annually, checks their daily activities into consideration alongside diet, weight, and height and advises and/or prescribes what is needed to lead healthier lives.
Run for Awareness Since 2015, Run for Awareness has become a brand CSR event in the Corporate World and created an example of spreading awareness in the community.
Epyllion Group has been observing World Diabetes Day since last five years to raise awareness about Diabetes. Each year, on 24 November (World Diabetes Day), employees of Epyllion run a marathon to spread awareness on diabetes and the danger of being overweight.
Community health camp We hold an annual three-day Health Care program in Spring nicknamed 'Health Carnival' to support the third Sustainable Development Goal: Good Health and Wellbeing.
These arrangements feature trained physicians and focus on providing treatment to our employees alongside affected people in communities we operate in. 32 specialist physicians, psychiatrists and nine specialized sectors (Gynecology, Child, Medicine, Cardiology, Respiratory, Surgery, Skin & Sex (Dermatology), Mental health, Joint pain) of from Dhaka Medical College, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital, Dhaka Shishu Hospital and many other reputed hospitals of the whole country, provide free checkups and prescriptions to employees in our offices and factories.
